Meghan Markle may not have been born a blue blood but she’s definitely worked hard to move up in life. Although you may know her primarily as a former actress or as Prince Harry’s wife, she’s actually more than just those two things.
Her impressive set of skills is proof that she’s somewhat of a modern Renaissance woman with talents that made her qualified for the kind of work she did as a senior royal.
Meghan the Artist

The Duchess of Sussex used to be a patron of numerous organizations back when she was a working member of the royal family. Art was among the causes she worked on.
And given her own artistic inclinations, it’s not at all surprising.
The now-38-year-old mother of one actually used to work as a calligrapher before she made it big in show business. In fact, she was so good at the job that she even taught other people how to do it as well.
Multilingual Duchess
Did you know that the Duchess has a degree in international relations from Northwestern University? Not only that, but she’s also familiar with French and Spanish.
She had to learn Spanish while she was interning at the American embassy in Argentina. Meanwhile, she picked up French after taking language courses during her stay in Canada before meeting and marrying Prince Harry.
Trained Dancer

Aside from knowing multiple languages, Markle has also been trained in different kinds of dancing including jazz, tap, and even ballet. These skills were showcased in her old resume as an actress.
As a multilingual speaker and versatile dancer, it’s no wonder the Duchess found it a breeze to acclimate to the particular cultures of the countries she has visited during royal tours.
Fighting Skills
Don’t let Markle’s dainty frame fool you. She can definitely hold her own if need be. The Duchess reportedly received training in martial arts and kickboxing before she became royalty.
Safe to say she takes her health seriously and does so through a mix of eating right and staying active.
Not Just a Foodie

Speaking of eating, you’d know that Markle is a certified foodie if you’re familiar with her now-defunct lifestyle blog The Tig. She’s more than a foodie though.
She’s also quite the cook and used to make her own recipes and shared them with her readers and followers.
